My stay at this ryokan was definitely a memorable experience. The room was lovely and provided a wonderful Japanese atmosphere, and I truly enjoyed the exquisite onsen. However, the location felt a bit isolated, and the thin walls made it challenging to relax fully at times. Overall, it offers great value for a wholesome Japanese experience.

Rooms

The room was delightful, with a traditional Japanese style and soft futons. I appreciated the free green tea provided. However, the walls were a bit thin, allowing sounds to carry.

The staff at the front desk spoke English, which was immensely helpful. They provided excellent service, especially during our dining experience.

While Kosagoe is slightly off the beaten path, it's near beautiful attractions like Tobu World Square and Edo Wonderland. However, the immediate area is quite limited.

Dinner, which was included in our stay, was fantastic! We chose shabu-shabu and enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, though be mindful of fixed dining times.

This hotel offers a wonderful Japanese-style experience with lovely clean rooms and a fantastic onsen. The dining was exceptional, particularly the hot pot dinner, although the dining area was not aesthetically pleasing. The location does require some navigation, but the stunning river views make it worthwhile. The service experience at check-in was frustrating due to card issues, which overshadowed an otherwise delightful stay.

Rooms

The rooms were beautifully designed in a modern Japanese style, featuring a comfortable futon bed set on a mat floor. The bathroom was compact but clean and functional, and we had a lovely balcony view overlooking the river.
Service

The front desk staff were generally friendly, but they encountered issues with processing our payment that caused considerable stress upon check-in.
Location

The hotel is situated a bit off the beaten path, requiring a bit of a search to find it. However, the tranquil setting by the river provides beautiful views. It's best to plan for dining options since the immediate area is limited.

We had an amazing Japanese beef hot pot dinner that was well worth the price, despite the dining area looking uninviting, reminiscent of a cafeteria.

There’s a well-equipped gym that seemed underutilized, which was disappointing. The onsen provided a fantastic experience with great views but could be crowded.

The location is a bit off the beaten path, which might be a concern for some, but it adds to the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it offers a wonderful Japanese experience, though the dining area could use some aesthetic improvements.

I was particularly impressed by the fantastic dining experience, especially the shabu-shabu dinner. However, the location is a bit tricky to find and somewhat remote, which could be a downside for some.
